With warmer weather becoming the norm, pests become more prevalent, too.
At Ricci’s Landscape Management, we’re here to help you control the mosquitoes and pests that invade your landscape! After all, we know how much time and care you dedicate to making your landscape beautiful, and it should be enjoyed by you – not a variety of unwanted insects.
So, let’s explore some tips and tricks that can keep the pest population at bay this year.
One of the most exciting landscape-related discoveries of all time? The realization that certain plants can ward off unwanted insects while still adding beauty and color to your home! While there are a few types that will get the job done, a few of our favorites are lavender, mint, and rosemary: all of which successfully repel mosquitoes and an assortment of other pests. Whether you’re planting a new garden, or simply cleaning up your landscape just in time for Summer, it might be worth it to add in a few insect-repellent plants this year.
We know – it seems like a conundrum – why would the solution for bug removal be to introduce more bugs? Surprisingly, there are a few types of bugs that will resolve the pest problem for you. For example, a praying mantis, ladybug, and ground beetle will all prey on pests if given the opportunity to do so. How do we get them into our gardens? There are a few options for luring beneficial insects to our landscapes. First, there is the option to buy them online (or in stores, if you can find one close by!). Alternatively, you can try to attract them naturally by simply providing food, shelter and water in your landscape or garden.
There are many professional options out there, but at RLM, we focus on providing comprehensive solutions. Our mosquito and pest control solution, for example, can eliminate up to 90% of ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, spiders and other pests once applied. We believe that it’s important to find a solution that not only targets the notorious pests like mosquitoes, but all kinds of insects – you never know what will pop up in your garden this Spring! When considering the use of a professional product, we encourage you to carefully read the ingredients and any available reviews – an important question to ask is whether the applied solution will be harmful to children or pets.

You've walked your yard a dozen times. The grass looks a little off: patchy in some spots, yellowing in others, and growing slower than it should. Something is wrong, but you're not sure what. Fertilizer seems like a logical fix, but is
